Shape up your bedroom’s style with a classically curved headboard. This simple project is a great introduction to working with wood, and thanks to a smart design, it’s just as easy to build a king as it is a twin. There are a total of 6 plank profiles that mix and match to create the different sized headboards — but the build process is the same no matter which size you choose. Cut the planks to length and finish the ends according to the patterns provided. Then place the planks on a flat work surface, and use dowels between each one to create the proper spacing. Position the cleats on the back of the planks, drill countersunk pilot holes and then drive screws screws to attach the cleats. so whether you want a full, a twin, a queen, or a king, just pick your pattern…and it’s not only size you can customize….the type of wood and the finish you choose give completely different looks from weathered and worn to chic and shiny.
