(playful music) – Hi everyone, so as you can see, behind me I put up my Christmas tree because we’re getting so close to Christmas season. I’m planning so many Christmas videos and craft projects for you guys, and today I thought that I would show you everything that I went out and bought for Christmas, decorations and craft supplies and yeah, let’s get started. First I went to Target which is always such a treat for me.I love Target, I basically cannot leave Target without spending at least $100. My tree is actually from Target. It is the six foot pre-lit tree. This box is really big, but I just wanted to show you. It’s that one. It was really easy to put together, it was only $45 and it’s actually a substantial, six-foot tall tree, so it feels like, you know, a real tree. And it was pre-lit, which means I don’t have to fuss around with Christmas lights, which is always a plus, but besides the tree, let’s see what’s in this bag. I got a garland that looks like tree branches. And I am going to use the garland, but I also need to cut off a few of these branches and use them for this craft project that I’m working on. But besides that, I think I’m going to put the garland on the bookshelf or something, I’m not quite sure yet. I bought a whole bunch of mini-ornaments because they were super cheap and they kinda help to fill out the spaces in between the really cool ornaments on the tree. Also, I only bought red and silver and gold, because I’m going for kind of a white and gold theme with some red and silver mixed in, but not like every color of the rainbow.I also got these ornaments, which are glittery deer, just because I always like having deer around for Christmas. I just think they’re so cute, and these are all glittery and pretty and I don’t have that many ornaments here, so I want to start building up the collection. I got a thing of pinecones, which if you live in the Northeast you would say was a waste of money because they’re all over the ground, but here in Los Angeles, they are nowhere to be found, so I’ve seen a ton of pinecone crafts online and I want to try some, so I just got a box of pinecones. And I feel my New Jersey self is cringing right now that I spent money on pinecones, but yeah. I had to, California doesn’t have these. And then finally, I got two boxes of these clear, glass ornaments, which there are so many crafts online of things you can do with these, you know super
easy stuff, you like put stuff inside of them, or you cover them with glitter, or you paint them, I don’t know, it’s like there are an endless amount. So I thought I wanted to experiment with some of those myself, so I got a whole bunch of these. And that’s it for bag number one. I also got this pillow, which was kinda like a last minute purchase as I was leaving the store, but I wanta dress up the couches you know as well as the tree, and I don’t really own any throw pillows, so I just picked up this nice red chevron pillow, it’s so fluffy! Next I bought a tree skirt, which is just a plain, red felt skirt, and I figure I can DIY something to dress it up a little, but the nice ones that were already decorated were like $20 and this was five, so I figure I’ll save some money and also just make my own pattern or whatever on here.I also got a bunch of these cheap, plain stockings. I think they were a dollar or two each, and I’m planning a video, a collab video with a very special guest, where we’re going to decorate these. So feel free to guess who that’s gonna be in the comments. This one I am super excited about, because it’s not just a Christmas thing. I got this round, gold tray and yes, it is festive for Christmas, but then just the rest of the year, why can’t you just use a gold tray to display things on? So I think I’m going to take some really awesome photos with this and display stuff on it, and I love this so much. They had this whole section of holiday candy, and I kinda restrained myself a bit. I only got one thing, and I already opened it, because I’ve already been snacking on it, but it is these Hershey Kisses which are actuallly peppermint flavored and they have real bits of candy cane in them. They’re so good, you know if you like peppermint, which I do, they’re so good, and I’ve already been snacking on them, but I need to stop because I bought them to be decorative, I’m going to put them in a vase, and then you can kinda snack on them throughout the day. But, I doubt that decoration is going to last very long, to be honest, because these are so good. So I bought some tinsel garlands, I bought gold, and then I bought this snowy white. And these, if you have kind of a sparse tree, these just kind of just help dress it up. Or you can use them anywhere else in your house, they’re very versatile, and they feel so fun on my arms, I love it.I also got a cheap thing of a bunch of bows. I
think this was also just a dollar or two, but bows are great, you can tie them on the tree to be mock ornaments, or you can just tie them anywhere else all around the livingroom to kinda give a little bit of festive cheer. Maybe on your kitchen cabinets, just put a bow on each one and suddenly, it’s Christmas. I bought this garland which is a bunch of snowflakes made out of felt and it’s definitely something you could DIY, but the design is a little intricate, so to cut that out one-by-one, would take forever, so just buy it pre-made. Which I assume they are laser cut or some machine just cut them all out, is way faster, and there are more garlands that you could make that would not be quite so annoying to do. So I just bought this, and I think it was in the dollar section, it was like three dollars, so there you go.So this is not in the Christmas section. It’s from the Nate Berkus Collection at Target, which is gorgeous, I want it all, but they’re giant gold paper clips, and I just thought I could make them into funny little ornaments like office supply ornaments. They’re gold, they go with my color scheme, I just thought it would be funny. And then one more cheap, unorthodox ornament idea is to make ornaments out of cookie cutters. You can just tie a piece of string on them and then they become ornaments. And these were only 79 cents each, and also if I want to make cookies, I can just take them off the tree and use them as cookie cutters still. So yeah, I just think these are super cute. Can’t wait to hang them on that tree behind me. So that is it for bag number two, except for a handful of Hershey Kisses, which I am definitely going to eat. And finally, our last bag from Target. I bought a whole bunch of wrapping paper because I don’t really have any wrapping paper that’s in these long rolls, so I had this idea. I have a whole bunch of board games there behind me, and I thought maybe I would wrap the board games in wrapping paper and put them under the tree to make it look like there’s a big pile of presents without actually having to go out and buy a whole bunch of presents. So yeah, I just bought some gold, some silver, this red polka-dot one, I’m so happy that normal, mainstream wrapping paper is no longer just that cheesy, cartoon, bright colors kids paper, that it’s actually really classy and really cool now.And you don’t have to go into specialty shops to get it, you can just get
these at Target, and I love them. I bought this set of decorative plates. So we have the striped, we have a green, we have a snowflake, and we also have a red polka-dot. And I don’t love the one that has text on it, I tend to think stuff with you know printed on pre-made text is a little cheesy, but I’m sure I’ll get some sort of use out of the rest of these. I bought a whole bunch of candy canes, because, one, they’re delicious, and they make a really good snack if you don’t want to eat a ton of candy. You can just suck on a candy cane for a while. And also they make really fun decorations. Before you unwrap them you can just decorate your house with them. So yeah, these were super cheap, but you always have to have candy canes for Christmas. And then finally I bought one more pillow, and it is red and it says HO, HO, HO. Is that upside down, no my thing’s just backward. I guess it can also say OH, OH, OH, but yeah, I just wanted more throw pillows to decorate the couches. Cause as I said, I don’t really own any throw pillows, and plus, after Christmas is over I can just use this pillow base and make my own kinda pillow case and then just have a year-round pillow as well. Alright, that is everything from Target. Let’s move on to Michaels. So first I bought a whole bunch of red and white felt. Which these sheets of felt are like less than a dollar. And it’s because I was recently working on a project where I was using red and white felt and I realized I was running super low on it, so I just picked up a few more sheets in case I need it for another project.I bought a ton of holiday ribbon. You guys don’t even understand how much ribbon I bought. I kinda went a little ribbon crazy, but I’m working on this video for Handmade which is going to use a lot of ribbon so I wanted to make sure I didn’t run out of festive ribbon, there’s more to come. I bought a lot of ribbon, but I’m really excited about this one, I don’t know if you guys can see, but it’s almost feathery, so it looks like the trim of a Santa Claus suit, so I’m sure I’m gonna be using up this entire roll over Christmas. Cause it’s just such like a fun, unique kind of craft supply. I bought a giant bag of mini glue sticks because I just used a project that needed a ton of hot glue. I literally went through probably like 15 glue sticks and I was running super low, and it’s the worst when you need hot glue and you have no more glue sticks, so
hopefully this will last me for quite a while.Oh, more ribbon, sorry “I love you, ribbon.” I bought some glitter, which I know is like the devil of craft supplies, it gets everywhere, but the only glitter I actually have is that one that I’ve been using in Halloween videos. It’s kinda like an orangy red glitter, which doesn’t really work for Christmas, so I bought some gold glitter and some white glitter. And we’ll see if I use this, if I’m brave enough to like want to get glitter all over my house, I don’t know, we’ll see. And then finally I bought a few little scrapbook embellishments which are Christmas themed, which I’m sure like I’m making a ton of cards, I’m decorating stocking, I’m decorating ornaments, I’m decorating so much stuff. I’m sure I’ll use these at some point. Alright, here we have the paper bag, so this is just a ton of decorative paper, but here you can see a bit of a sample of what I got.I’m working on this project where I need a ton of gold and white paper, so I got pretty much every pattern in gold and white that they had, and then also just some other Christmas color patterns, for cards and for other stuff, you never know. And then I also got this massive book of scrapbook paper which is all like red and white and Christmasy and I’m sure I’m not going to use this entire thing this season, but I can just keep it for next year and then use it more to make cards and make things and stuff, I like crafting, OK.Alright, this is our final bag, so if you’re getting super sick of me, we’re almost done. So at Michaels they were having some sort of early November sale where everything Christmasy in the store was marked down at least 25%, but the jingle bells were marked down 45%, so I got some giant jingle bells, just like in the Polar Express, that’s what made me think of these, and then also a thing of normal sized jingle bells which I’m sure I’m gonna use in something. Maybe I can put them on a Christmas Stocking or something. I got a bunch of these kind of cheesy flower arrangements or like leaf arrangements with like Christmas presents and drums and stuff built in and like white flowers and I’m just gonna stick them into wine bottles or vases or whatever to bring a little more sparkly Christmas spirit, because Christmas doesn’t really have Christmas flowers, I guess you have Poinsettias, but it’s more just like garlands and sparkly things, so I just got a few of
these. So these were kind of an impulse buy, but it was three for $10, so I got these picture frame ornaments and they’re super cheesy, super Christmasy, but I thought it would be really funny if I printed out some photos of my friends and I from throughout the year, like really silly, terrible, non-family photos type photos and put them in here and then hung them on the tree. And I don’t know, we’ll see if it’s funny, maybe they’ll just be funny to me. I also got two more of those clear glass ornaments. These are plastic and they’re oversized, so I’ll see if I want to make something out of these. I got some silver and gold glitter glue, which again can be used to decorate anything, and it’s a little less messy than that actual glitter that I bought. And then I also bought some just normal fabric glue in a bunch of colors because these were super cheap and I don’t really have fabric glue, so I’m sure I’m gonna use this stuff at some point.I bought another thing of little silver bows, and then finally I bought some cutout letters which I’m going to make ornaments out of. I bought an M for my roommate Michelle, but then every single type of letter that they had was sold out of Ks, like there was not a single K except for the giant ones that would not make good ornaments, so I couldn’t buy a K. I think somebody went in and ransacked all of the Ks just because they knew it would annoy me. So instead, I got a couple ampersands and I’ll make myself some ampersand ornaments. Alright, if you guys could see the floor around me, I am just surrounded by Christmas stuff, but I am so happy about it. It makes me so happy that it’s almost Christmas. It’s like as soon as Christmas is over I’m like, alright, I’m good, I’m done with Christmas for a while, but then once we hit July, I’m like alright, is it Christmas yet again? I want it to be Christmas. And now it’s finally Christmas, so I have a ton of crafting to do, a ton of videos to make, I hope you guys stay tuned and watch them, and tell all your friends and leave a comment, leave a comment, what is your favorite thing that I bought and/or what are you buying for Christmas? What sorts of things are you putting together? Also you could tell me when you put up your tree and tell me that I put mine up too early and I’m a disgrace to Thanksgiving, and sorry Thanksgiving, you know I love you, but I love Christmas more.Alright, I think this video has been
far long enough. Make sure to Like, Comment, Subscribe, you guys know what to do! And right here, and also right here I’m gonna put two of my Christmas videos from last year, so make sure you go check those out if you want to start getting into the Christmas spirit early. And I will see you all next time, bye everyone! How do I get out of here? (playful music) .
