Welcome all to my kitchen! lalalalalalalalalalal Our home is located in the Paris suburb city of Villemomble. Because the rent in Paris is so expensive, we are liviing here. To go to Paris, we take the RER which brings us to the center of Paris in less than half an hour. Our home is 36 square meters.(I said 30 but it wasn’t accurate.) And our kitchen is about 10 m2. ahahaha Isn’t it small? So we made a vertical apartement to maximise our storage space. Then, first of all, I am going to show you this side of the wall. This is the kitchen door. Above it, Tada! a hanging plant! This is a spider plant. and then this is a chime bell which we brought from Korea. On top of the shelves, is a pothos plant also known as skindapsus.I am very proud of this arangement system which I created my self This is a combination. This is one unit that you can find in the furniture store. I bought four of them and attached them to the wall so that they won’t move. This is a speaker through which we play music. Behind it you can find big beer mugs that I cherish very much! Isn’t it big! This is a wine decanter that we use when we didn’t open the wine bottle early enough. You can also call it an aerator. As the name indicates it mixes the wine with air to let all the aromas and flavors come out of the wine. This is a gadget that allows you to seal your wine bottle airtight. We put shelves inside the squares to gain even more room. here too and here too the storage is like this. This is where we put our cuttlery. This big jar will have the purpose of storing our home made mak-geol-li(korean rice wine which will blow your mind away!). We are currently making Nu-ruk which plays an essential role in the Mak-geol-li preparation process. ㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎ I am getting excited thinking about drinking my self-made mak-geol-li! ㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎ Next to the shelves, a propos, our apartement is DIY apartement. So I bought these hooks from Ikea and fixed them to the wall. We did it all everything! drilling and painting! there are aprons these are dish cloths Beneath that This is turnable serving board which we use for serving the cheese. I will show you These are cheese knives They are magnetically attached to the wood. So in general, we put some cheese on the plate and we use these knives to cut it and eat it with gusto! This metal bar, we purchased in Ikea and fixed it to the wall. These are the utensils that I often
use for my cooking. I hang them all here by order of usage. These are delicious oils from a famous brand Oliviers&co. Olive and chili Olive and lemon Olive and basilique! hmm… what is basilique in korean hmmm…. ah! Basil! Olive and basil! So now, you are curious about this! When we first saw this building, this building was constructed in 1930(again; I mistakenly said 1920.) And then it was renovated in a very basic sense. This apartement was like that. And these tiles looked exactly like the ones that you used to find in communist east germany(DDR) in the 1960’s. It was very gloomy and depressing. The colours of the walls were all the same, it was so boring, sad and depressing…. So we thought, we definitely needed a change! These are stickers meant for kitchen tiles. Maybe here you can see it peel off a little bit and then see me attach it again! We bought it from Amazon fr. And we stick them on the tiles. At first we had painted the tiles in black, But it still looked too gloomy. So we put them on the wall, And now we have a warm atmosphere as if we were in Spain or Mexico! This is a magnetic knife bar. This is to dry our wine glasses.I will show you. I wash my wine glasses by hand. Tada! This is how we dry our wine glasses. A vertical apartment! As you see at the top! There is pasta, and then korean rice, Over here are the spices that I often use for cooking! And then Coffe sugar This is black tea This is a french press that belonged to my in laws that I broke. (I am sorry! Dear parents in law… ^^;;;;;) When they said they wanted to throw it out, I shouted, NOOOOOOOO!!!!! Can I have it? And I recycled it with a mug to make milk foam for Cafe latte! And then, over here, is another creative setup. At first, when we saw this space…. This is a condemned chimney. They condemned this chimney. If we had a bit more money We would break this part down to get more space But unfortunately we decided not to invest in this. And we use it as it is. At first when we saw this part, we weren’t sure what to do with it.And it was very dark. As you can see up there, We installed some lights. After that Tada! hm We put the bars on the wall to hang pots and pans, and it is very practical. And then, here too, it is my dish cloths These are gloves for washing up. All of this comes from Ikea The metal bar This is a lid for pots and pans tak! It fits perfectly onto the bar! And here too! Tak! Tak! We
installed everything in this way. These are my chopping boards and trays. We put a wooden bar to hold them in place. On this surface I cook and And it is very easy to reach for light chopping boards. For some of the small trays too. This all carries the hongscene trademark! ㅋㅋㅋ We didn’t hire any professionals to help us out! We did it ALL! This wall, is like a chalk board. We used a special paint that allows us to write and erase. So well We write from time to time some verses from the bible which encourage us Or, When we invite our friends to come over and eat, we write the menu. This side, Tada! Here Shelves! wouh! The sunlight! It is very rare to have a lot of sunlight in Paris! Today is one of the very few days where we get such light! So it puts me in a good mood! We added some recycled shelves to place some plants on them, otherwise it was too lifeless. This is a peace lily (I said white lily which is incorrect.) And this one is the mother plant Because we propagated a lot from it. This one is one of its offspring. One And the second one is up there! That one is also one of its descendants. And then, this one Pothos! Can you see this one? One Two This plant Pothos is one of our favorites! up there! That one is the mother plant! We cut a stem and put it into a cup filled with water If you look at it closely, you can see the root When I place it into the water, the root grows. When the root became mature, you can plant it into some earth! And then, this one! The ceiling light shade made by Hongscene! Tada! For this one! About three years ago, I found a naver(a korean search engine) blog of Jason, an interior decorator. At that time, I was wondering/considering a lot what to use as light shade. And fortunately I stumbled across Jason’s blog And thankfully he explains in much detail how to make this shade using coffee filters and a glue gun! And I made a few by copying him. I installed this modell in all of our rooms.(Except the bathroom!!!!) Isn’t it pretty? Lots of people said to me that I shoud sell them! It’s like a cloud. At night, when lit, it looks mesmerisingly dreamy! Everyone gave me such compliments! And I told them that I followed a korean blogger! Which makes me very proud! And then, This is our dining table This is a cheese cake that I made last night! And then, this one! These are leaks We planted them and they grow very vigorously.Whenever we need some, we cut them and
enjoy them.(Especially delicious in Ramen!) Good work! Guys! You are going well! Thank you! Ah! This one! This is my treasure that I mentioned before It is Nuruk! (Nuruk is an essential ingredient for making Korean rice wine Mak-geol-li!) Aspergilus orizae is a type of fungus. We are cultivating aspergilus orizae Aspergilus orizae looks like green, white or yellow mold. For making Mak-geol-li We love to drink and of course we love Mak-geol-li! We love So-mek(Soju and beer cocktail) too! I’d love to drink Mak-geol-li to my heart’s content! But, in Paris, because it is imported, it is overpriced. To drink Mak-geol-li whole heartedly we decided to make our own! (We will share the process in a later video.) If we were to buy it regularily our wallet would be found to have a hole in it! So far so good! We are currently letting it dry! We are going to make MAk-geol-li with it! Ah! This is my little garden I grow scallions.Last summer it grew well We cut it and consumed it all Although it is winter now, Today is 15th of February. It is still growing well! I am very happy with them! In this one, I planted Coriander Recently I cut it and froze it for future use. These are Geraniums I am growing a lot of Geraniums They are very hardy, they didn’t die this winter. These are some nuts, Walnut and pumpkin seeds What is pumpkin in korean? Hobak! We ate pumpkin recently And we gathered the seeds Often, Birds come and sit over there Wild bird Then, I felt terrible that I didn’t prepare anything for them. So I put some nuts and seeds there Somehow since then, I haven’t seen any birds come by. The Geranium flowers They are looking so healthy! Good job! Guys! I think you now know our kitchen very well! I love this place very much! This is my play ground! Thank you for watching our kitchen! I hope you have a wonderful and peaceful day! Be happy Guys! Thank you! Bye! .
