    Description

Reads on the label ".00 Ukelin Distirbuted exclusively by the Manufacturers Advertising Company 93 Ferry Street Jersey City, New Jersey
A great piece of Americana music history. These were sold door to door and made in Jersey City New Jersey. Circa 1926 these were sold for dollars and the owner would pay a month until it was paid off. There are 32 strings that would make up 2 whole scales of a piano. Made by hey ended up being a failing product due to the complication and obviously being hard and complicated to tune. It displays very well and there is no damage and it could be tuned to play as well. Its a great story of entrepreneurship and American business.
However it comes with a interesting bow. The bow was made in Russian Occupied Germany during World War II. It is in good condition and It reads Made in Germany Russia Occupied. It would come with a key for tuning which I dont have and a instruction book on how to play the Ukelin.
A Ukelin, an instrument distributed by the International Musical Corporation, 14th and Bloomfield Sts., Hoboken, N.J. Patented April 6, 1926. Wood with metal fittings; metal strings; decals. Overall: 25-3/4" long x 5-3/4" wide x 2-1/2" thick.
